President Trump on Sunday said that those who enter the United States illegally should be “immediately” returned to their country of origin “with no Judges or Court Cases,” adding that “Our Immigration policy, laughed at all over the world, is very unfair to those people who have gone through the system legally and are waiting on line for years!“
“Immigration must be based on merit – we need people who will help to Make America Great Again” Trump added.
We cannot allow all of these people to invade our Country. When somebody comes in, we must immediately, with no Judges or Court Cases, bring them back from where they came. Our system is a mockery to good immigration policy and Law and Order. Most children come without parents…

While in line with fulfilling his campaign promises, Trump’s comments are sure to dump jet fuel on the barnfire of controversy over separated migrant families at the southern U.S. border, after pictures of children in cages began to circulate, which the left attributed to Trump’s new “zero tolerance” policy of enforcing Clinton, Bush and Obama-era immigration laws.
The second sentence of this is a flat rejection of any right to seek asylum in the United States. https://t.co/lCVvCHOSB5

Mercedes Schlapp, White House Director of Strategic Communications, said “As we have said multiple times before, the administration does NOT prosecute those who seek asylum at our Ports of Entry.”
As we have said multiple times before, the administration does NOT prosecute those who seek asylum at our Ports of Entry. @chucktodd and @SenAngusKing know this, yet continue to push a false narrative. #CorrectTheRecord #ChangeTheLaws

Others have brought up the fact that there are 9 U.S. consulates in Mexico where Asylum seekers can legally apply to be in the United States.
There are 10 US Consulates in Mexico that Mexican citizens can go to in order to seek asylum. They can also start the process of legal citizenship and won’t be killed, raped, robbed or separated from their families like most are by gangs when trying to cross illegally. #SaveALife pic.twitter.com/rpQPNSmbQC

And despite the fact that the “caged children” pictured in viral media happened under Obama – who separated migrant families all the time and is being sued for keeping children in brutal conditions, and despite the fact that Time Magazine tried to pass off a fake picture of a “separated migrant child” (who was never separated) in order to propagandize the Trump’s immigration policy – which even CNN called them out on, Trump’s Sunday tweets will undoubtedly give the MSM plenty of headline fodder for the next week.
After all, why conduct any meaningful analysis on things last week’s Congressional testimony by Michael Horowitz, where we learned that the FBI may have tampered with evidence in the Mike Flynn investigation, or that Peter Strzok has been subpoenaed, or the fact that James Comey skipped out of Congressional testimony last week, and may be subpoenaed along with former AG Loretta Lynch?
Or why bring up the other amorous anti-Trump / pro-Clinton “lovebirds” investigating each presidential candidate? Meet “Agent 5” for example, and “FBI Attorney 2” from the recent IG report.
Instead the media is set to keep it focus on Trump’s enforcement of decades-old border policy, even after he signed an Executive Order on Wednesday to keep detained migrant families together.
